Apple Cider Delight


2 qt (2 L) apple cider
1/3 cup (75 mL) maple syrup
1/4 tsp (50 mL) salt (optional)
1 tsp (5 mL) whole allspice

1 tsp (5 mL) whole cloves
3 sticks cinnamon
Dash nutmeg
1 whole orange, sliced

Directions: Warm apple cider in kettle or crock pot, add maple syrup. Wrap allspce and cloves in a small cheesecloth and add, with cinnamon stick, orange slices and nutmeg, to apple cider for 10 to 15 minutes, simmering. Remove cheesecloth. Serve warm.
